Fish Soup

One of la belle-iloise’s classics, this was the first soup that the cannery produced more than sixty years ago.

Their canned fish soup has a unique flavour of ocean freshness, light texture, and a subtle spicy finish. Rich flavours of fish, such as conger eel and gurnard, are enhanced by a secret blend of herbs and spices.

Easy to prepare, their traditional fish soup is made for sharing and makes a great crowd-pleaser. At the first spoonful, its beautiful orangey-coral colour is accompanied by delicious, tempting aromas.

Tips, advice for use

• To experience this soup at its best, remember to dilute it by adding 2/3 of a can of water, as per the instructions on the can.
• It can be enjoyed plain or with croutons, grated cheese, cream or spicy rouille mayonnaise. You can also use it as a sauce for shellfish or fish dishes.
