More about Moshio

Made using natural resources and methods from 2500 years ago, Moshio (or "seaweed salt”) is the earliest known Japanese sea salt.

In earlier salt production methods of Japan, Moshio was made by drying seaweed, soaking them in salt water, and boiling the remainder over an open fire.

After being hand sieved, beautiful fine crystals of salt combined with seaweed remains.
